Denver Fall Acting Classes

Thank you for your interest in our after school classes. For Boulder classes, please go to our Boulder Class Page. Classes typically fill by late August so please register early. Classes run 10 weeks. See class for exact dates. (No classes during Thanksgiving) Classes will have a final presentation on the last day of class.

Class Location: Saint Mary's Anglican Church, at 2290 S. Clayton St, several blocks south of Evans and east of University.

WEDNESDAYS
4:30-6pm: Story Theatre: The Velveteen Rabbit (ages 5-8) Sept 28 - December 7  
Taught by Jen Bartos.
Come join us to build a world of imagination and become one of the delightful characters in Margery Williams' "The Velveteen Rabbit". Using drama games, improvisation, creative movement, and basic character exploration, we will create a colorful dramatic work, which we will present at the end of the session for the perfect Holiday Show.
Final presentation: 12/7 at 5:30pm $175.

THURSDAYS
  4:30-6pm: Broadway Kids! A Musical Showcase! (ages 6-9) Sept 29 - December 8
Taught by Jen Bartos  
We will pick several of the musical numbers from these favorite shows and rehearse and perform them for family and friends on the evening of the last class. Emphasis will be on learning to combine character along with movement and song. All classes will begin with drama games and warm ups to give students the building blocks they need to get a better understanding of drama. Final Presentation 12/8 at 5:30pm. $175


FRIDAYS
4:30-6:30pm: The Legend Of Harry Potter: A Theatrical Journey of Fantasy and Myth (ages 9-12) Sept 30- December 9 ; Taught by Kelly McAllister 
The mythology of Harry Potter has captivated the imagination of kids of all ages this past decade. In this upbeat, fast paced class students will create the landscape and characters of Harry Potter through the dynamic use of acting exercises and activities designed to facilitate the creative process. Students will use their voices, bodies and imaginations to create characters and scenes, pursue objectives, overcome obstacles, and learn to work as an ensemble. There will be a final presentation for family and friends on the evening of the last class. Final Presentation: 12/9 at 6pm. $195

Cancellation Policy:
Fees are non-refundable two weeks before the first class. Fees beyond deposit may be used as credit at after a good faith effort has been made to address withdrawal issue. Exceptions may be made in the case of family or medical emergency.
