4-5:30: Hollywood Kids! A Musical Showcase of Songs and Dances from your favorite Movie Musicals* (ages
6-9)
Jan 30 - April 23 (No class 2/20, 3/26, 4/2)Taught by Liz Comninellis & TBA
With the students, we will pick several of their favorite musical numbers from some of the classic kid movie musicals we know and love and rehearse and perform them for family and friends on the evening of the last class. Emphasis will be on learning to combine character along with movement and song. All classes will begin with drama games and vocal warm ups to give students the building blocks they need to get a better understanding of musical theatre. Final Class Presentation

6-7:30: Intensive Actor Training and Audition Preparation(ages 11-16)

Are you auditioning this Winter for the Spring Musical, a College or Conservatory entrance audition, a summer play? Are hoping to get that perfect role of your dreams? OR do you want to gather material for your audition repertoire and polish it? Need direction and time to work on your audition piece or do you want coaching for a character you are playing? Want more tools and skills to help you make better choices on stage? You will leave this class equipped with polished audition pieces, better actor self-awareness, a deeper understanding of method acting and tools to aid in character development. $125

4-6: The Lightning Thief* (ages 9-13)
February 1 – April 18 (No class 2/22, 3/28)Taught by Kelly McAllister
Curtains up for this class based on the famous book and film about the adventures of modern-day twelve-year-old Percy Jackson as he discovers he is a demigod, the son of a mortal woman and the Greek god Poseidon. Students will create the landscape and characters
of The Lightning Thief through the dynamic use of acting exercises
and activities designed to facilitate the creative process.
Students will use their voices, bodies and imaginations to
create characters and scenes, pursue objectives, overcome
obstacles, and learn to work as an ensemble. Characters include those drawn from Ancient Greek mythology, as Percy and his friends go on a quest to prevent a war between the Zeus, Poseidon and Hades. Final Class Presentation: 4/18 at 6PM$195
FRIDAYS 4-5:30: Story Theatre: Fabulous Fractured Fairy Tales With A Twist!* (ages 5-8) February 3 - April 20 (no class 2/17, 3/30)Taught by TBA
Jump into a world of make believe and imagination and act out well known characters from some of your favorite Fairy Tales but with a twist! You will be sure to giggle at these delightfully funny sketches that bring something new and contemporary to our age-old favorites. Using Drama games, improvisation, creative movement, and basic character exploration, we will create a colorful dramatic work, which we will stage and present at the end of the session for a witty evening every one will love! Final Class Presentation: 4/20 at 5:30PM$175
4-6: Who’s Line Is It Anyway? Theatrical Improv At its Best!* (ages 9-12)
February 3 - April 27 (no class 2/17, 3/9, 3/30)Taught by Jim Tranchida
The sky’s the limit in this class! Students will heighten their sense of story from an honest place. They will explore the art of improvisational comedy through solo, duo and group exercises and games and will work on perfecting their comic timing and learning to trust their creative impulses as well as those of the group. If you want to laugh, play and let go a little, using nothing but your imagination this is the class for you. (Improvisation is a valuable too for all aspiring performers, which teaches stage presence, self confidence, teamwork, as well as stronger acting skills.) There will be a “Live Improv Theatre Evening” for family and friends at the end of the session. (Please Note: We recommend if your child loves improv and is interested in it as a creative form of self expression that you attend some Live Improv together.
