4:00-6:00: Sketch Comedy Improvisation
(ages 9-12)
February 8 - May 3
Sketch comedy consists of a series of short comedy scenes
or skits, called "sketches." Commonly used on variety shows,
comedy programs, adult entertainment, talk shows, or certain
children's television programs (such as Sesame street) these
skits are commonly between one and ten minutes long. In class
students will participate in a series of improvisational exercises
which will generate comedic material that we will script and
then perform in "A night of Sketch Comedy" at the end of the
session. If you are imaginative, playful and like to laugh
this is the class for you!
