Broadway Boot Camp for Teen & College Actors

Rocky Mountain Theatre for Teens is now
The Actor's Academy for The Performing Arts.

The name change was inspired to emphasize our unique performing arts training programs.

Daily Master Classes with industry professionals including
Broadway Performer Rodney Douglas
who starred as Simba in The Lion King

Broadway Boot Camp is a unique ten day theatre training intensive where dedicated student performers from all over the Denver Metro area choose a track in either Musical Theater or Drama and study daily with top theatre industry professionals. Students will attend approximately 60 hours of master classes in acting, dance, voice, and auditioning as well as participate in mock auditions that are conducted in the format of New York Equity audition calls. They will receive individual feedback on their work as well as participate in Q&A sessions with our incredible faculty where many of their questions about careers in the performing arts may be answered. Rehearsals for our Showcase are directed and choreographed by our experienced faculty.

All master classes are small, allowing each company member to receive individual attention and the best possible training. Performers may choose to focus in a Drama or Musical Theatre Track.

Broadway Boot Camp is by audition only, and accepts company members ranging in age from 14-22. Actors must be 14 by 12/31/2012.

    Program Locations:

    BOULDER: Rehearsals and performances will take place at Theatre O and our facility at 5311 Western Avenue (northwest of 55th & Arapahoe).

    DENVER Rehearsal will take place at Cherry Creek Dance Studios at 2625 E. 3rd Ave . Performances will take place at the 320 seat Denver Civic Theatre at 721 Santa Fe Drive.

    Just in case you weren't paying attention,  in summer 2011, we saw 43 high school and college aged actors in our productions of Fame and Chicago, in Denver and Boulder. We were able to award $20,0000 in scholarships, ran successful productions with great audience attendance, and appeared on 3 major television stations.
